Rivers State Government has signed a contract for the provision of water in the state capital.


The project covers 496kms of pipeline network and would involve the building of 4 new reservoirs and the rehabilitation of the 4 existing reservoirs.

The new facility would add 264,000 cubic meters of water per day to the moribund colonial era 66,000 cubic meters per day facility.

The contract was signed between Port Harcourt Water corporation and CGC Nigeria Limited, Top Engineering Corporation and Mothercat Limited.
